Turning Corners PDF Pattern
This is a downloadable PDF pattern with all instructions for making your own quilt.
Stash Busting is now about much more than tiny piecing! It’s time to dig into that pile of LARGE scraps.
Most scrap quilts help us use up those tiny pieces of fabric. But what can we do with that OTHER scrap bin with large scraps and leftover or test blocks? How about those yards of binding or 1/8 yard pieces?
This pattern will come to your rescue! You will find easy instructions for cutting up larger scraps and combining them with left over blocks to create dynamic improvisational blocks. Then, you can combine the improvisational blocks with squares and rectangles cut from solids or near solids to make your quilt top in no time. The pattern includes tips for quickly piecing improvisational blocks.
How much scrap fabric is needed? I estimate you will need 4 to 5 gallon size bags of scraps to get started. Throw in leftover blocks from other projects. Mistakes in those blocks will disappear when you make this quilt. Need MORE large scraps? Check with your quilting friends — they might be happy to share with you.
Pattern includes alternate colorways to spark your creativity.
