Have you been wondering why you are MISSING posts by people you actually follow!!!

We are all still here….but IG isn’t showing us to you!!

The Instagram algorithm is not your friend!

You can take back control by just making a selection when you open up Instagram. Click that arrow next to the IG name and choose FOLLOWING.

You will still see accounts suggested for you. I’m noticing that most of the suggestions in my feed are in fiberart or quilting.

OH…. if you want to find & explore new people, select the spyglass and then choose to search by hashtag. I often search #modernquilt.

Her prompt was to make strips in the style of Alma Thomas, a colorfield painter and one of my inspirations. Look up Ms Thomas, and dig deep into her work to see how she boldly explored color.

I took on the challenge. I transformed a 36 x 32“ top made by a group in South Sarasota MQG. I cut the top into 8 inch squares, added some stash fabric and created two small crib quilts that will be donated to a mother’s charity. I think I will add orders on both of these quilts to make them just a bit larger.
It was really a lot of fun to take the chance and cut the piece into the smaller blocks. It was interesting when I started, and I think the transformation made the pieced blocks a bit more abstract.
